WATERLOO WOLVES U18 AAA STAFF

BEHIND THE BENCH & OFF ICE

KYLE MORRISON
HEAD COACH
-
After two seasons as a Lead Assistant Coach with the U16 AAA (2023-24) and U15 AAA (2024-25) Wolves, Kyle is ready to take the helm and lead the team to new heights.
-
As a player, Kyle developed in the GTHL before embarking on a four-year junior hockey career, competing in the OJHL (St. Michael's Buzzers), QMJHL (Gatineau Olympiques), and MJHL (Truro Bearcats). During his time in Truro, he earned First Team All-Star honours, led the league in scoring, and played a key role in securing the Fred Page Cup on route to the RBC Cup.
-
Kyle continued his success at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he captained the Men's Varsity Hockey Team in his final season. His leadership, experience, and dedication to player development have made him an invaluable part of our organization, and we are excited to see him "own" this new role and lead the U18 AAA Wolves forward.
-
Kyle is originally from Mississauga, but now lives in Fergus with his wife, Rachel.

Brendan Woods
ASSISTANT COACH
-
Brendan Woods returns to the Waterloo Minor Hockey Association for his third season as an Assistant Coach, and first with the U18 AAA Wolves.
-
Brendan’s playing career saw him play his minor hockey in the Alliance, before making the jump to the GOJHL for two years, before jumping up to the OJHL for two more seasons, where he was a consistent PPG player over his Junior Career and captained his Georgetown Raiders in his 20-year-old season. His junior success led to two more years at Wilfrid Laurier University, as a member of the Men’s Varsity Hockey Team. He then went on to play 6 seasons of Senior hockey before becoming a coach.
-
Brendan and his wife Kristen reside in Fergus with their 5-month-old baby girl, Charlotte.

Andrew Brown
ASSISTANT COACH/TRAINER
-
Andrew grew up playing minor hockey in Waterloo before moving on to junior hockey in the area. Finished his playing career as a goaltender at Wilfrid Laurier University, competing at the U Sports level. Now in his fifth year coaching AAA hockey, he primarily works as the team’s goaltending coach, bringing both playing and coaching experience to help goalies and players develop on and off the ice. He lives in Kitchener with his wife Michelle and their 1.5-year-old son, Callen.
